Change in Fire Season Regulations

The Douglas Forest Protective Association has increased the fire danger to “extreme” for the Douglas District effective immediately.  The change in fire danger is a result of dry fuels, the current and projected weather forecasted, and the current fire situation on the Douglas District.

Effective Immediately the following changes in fire season regulations will go into effect:extreme

FIRE DANGER LEVEL

The fire danger level has been increased to “EXTREME” due to the weather and fuels conditions.

PUBLIC USE RESTRICTION

Restrictions regulating the public use of forest lands are regulated at this time by “Regulated Use Closure.”

INDUSTRIAL FIRE PRECAUTION LEVEL

Commercial operations in wild land areas are regulated at this time by “Industrial Fire Precaution Level III – Partial Shutdown.”
