Douglas County Fire District No. 2 responded 2 ALS Ambulances to assist Glide Rural Fire District with a single car motor vehicle accident on Glide Loop Road at 7:45 Wednesday morning.The first 911 reports stated that the vehicle was in the river and the Fire District No.2 Water Rescue Team was dispatched. Upon arrival of First Responders it was found that the vehicle was down a steep embankment but not in the water.
The car with 3 teenage passengers left the roadway and struck a tree and continued down an embankment before coming to rest against another tree close to the river. All 3 passengers were transported to Mercy Medical Center.
