Douglas County Fire District No. 2 responded with Glide Rural Fire Department to a report of a stucture fire at 10739 North Umpqua Hwy this morning at 10:17am. The first engine arriving on scene reported that a single story house was totally involved and prepared for a defensive attack. 
The cause of the fire is unknown and the house is a total loss. The scene was declared under control at 11:17am.
